Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Limited is seeking a Senior Electrical Systems Engineer for a manufacturing-focused role in Leatherhead. You will own electrical system design from concept through to production, crafting diagrams, wiring designs and selecting components while ensuring safety compliance.

You will test equipment, diagnose faults and collaborate with mechanical, software, manufacturing and supply-chain teams in a hands-on environment.

Qualifications

Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking for the opportunity to work on innovative clean technology that is helping to reduce carbon emissions? Are you looking for a hands‑on senior role where you can take ownership of electrical systems from design through to production?

On offer is a fantastic opportunity to join an exciting clean‑tech business developing battery and solar‑powered refrigeration technology for the transport industry. You'll play a key role in designing, testing and improving the electrical systems that power the company's products.

Work for a growing business that is developing technology designed to reduce the environmental impact of refrigerated transport. As the company moves towards commercial production, you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact on the design and development of its products.

The day to day of this role includes designing electrical systems, creating electrical diagrams and wiring designs, selecting components, testing equipment, investigating electrical faults, and making sure designs are safe and meet relevant standards. You'll work closely with mechanical, software, manufacturing and supply‑chain teams, while also providing technical guidance to other engineers.

The ideal candidate will have several years' experience designing electrical systems, ideally within automotive, industrial, transport, battery or similar environments. You'll have strong knowledge of electrical safety, experience creating electrical schematics and wiring designs, and enjoy solving technical problems in a hands‑on environment.

The role:

• Senior Electrical Systems Engineer
• Electrical system design, testing, fault finding and product development
• Monday to Friday
• 3 days per week on site in Leatherhead
• Hands‑on engineering environment
