I'm supporting an award-winning clean technology manufacturer that is revolutionising a traditional industry through innovative electrification solutions. The Role
As the technical lead for electrical systems, you'll drive design, safety, compliance and performance activities from concept through to production, working closely with engineering, manufacturing and supplier teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical systems design and development through the full product lifecycle.
- Create, review and release electrical schematics and harness designs.
- Define engineering standards and best practices.
- Support electrical architecture and component selection.
- Conduct hazard analysis and risk assessments.
- Resolve design and supplier issues using structured problem-solving techniques.
- Ensure compliance with relevant electrical and functional safety standards.
- Support verification, validation, EMC and environmental testing.
- Drive cost reduction and product optimisation initiatives.
- Collaborate with software, mechanical, quality and supply chain teams.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership.
About You
- You'll have experience delivering complex electrical systems within sectors such as: Automotive Transportation Electrification Industrial Equipment Battery Storage Aerospace Mobile Machinery Essential Experience
- Degree qualified in Electrical, Automotive, Aerospace Engineering or similar.
- Proven experience developing electrical systems for industrial or transport-related products.
- Strong knowledge of low-voltage DC and mains AC systems.
- Experience producing and approving schematics and harness drawings.
- Understanding of electrical safety principles and engineering standards.
- Experience with structured risk assessments including FMEA, HAZOP or similar.
- Knowledge of product compliance and safety regulations.
- Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
