Job summary

Owen Daniels in Croydon is seeking an Electrical Support Engineer on a permanent basis. Salary range £50,000 - £65,000 depending on experience, with a Monday–Thursday 08:30–16:30 and Friday 08:30–15:30 schedule.

The role focuses on managing electrical tasks, supporting QA, and maintaining critical documentation and data for electrically biased components and ECs. This position offers career progression within a global specialist in intelligent drive technology.

Qualifications

• Must have HNC/HND (or equivalent) in electrical/electronics/avionics.
• Experience in design engineering and reverse engineering.
• Solid knowledge of electrical fundamentals and fault diagnosis.

Job Description

• Manage Electrical tasks, testing protocols and issues in conjunction with the Senior Mech Eng and Head of Eng
• Conform to, own, develop and manage the Job Pack system for all electrically biased Job Packs
• Own and manage electrically biased Concessions & Engineering Changes (ECs)
• Own the creation, review, development, certification and management of electrically biased BoMs
• Own the management of all electrically biased data, manuals, drawings, information, etc
• Determine, design/ select and reverse engineer electrical components, systems and test equipment
• Carry out electrically biased investigations, analyses, research and assessments to support NCRs, customer complaints, warranty claims, fault diagnosis, casualties, overhaul activities, creation of COIs, method statements, manuals, work instructions, RAMS, etc.

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

• Experienced engineer with a minimum HNC/HND qualification (or equivalent) in an electrical / electronics / avionics (electrically biased) engineering discipline
• Design experience and a good balance of general design engineering, reverse engineering
• Working knowledge and grasp of electrical fundamentals, principles and their application to products, fault diagnosis, analyses and design
