Job summary

E3 Recruitment is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer in Bradford to design LV/MV electrical solutions and deliver high-quality engineering drawings. You will develop BOMs, create manufacturing data, and support FATs and customer technical reviews.

The role requires a degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with practical experience in switchgear, transformers, protection schemes and IEC/ BS EN standards. Strong CAD skills and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
Experience with LV and MV electrical systems including switchgear, transformers and protection schemes.
Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD or similar) and able to interpret technical specifications.

Responsibilities

Design and deliver electrical solutions for LV and MV systems in line with project and client requirements.
Produce high-quality engineering drawings, schematics and all associated technical documentation.
Create accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and detailed manufacturing data.
Provide technical support across the full project lifecycle, including FATs and customer liaison.
Track project progress and identify risks or issues affecting delivery timelines.
Assist in improving engineering processes, standards and best practices.
