Job summary

CDM Recruitment Ltd - Engineering & Manufacturing Specialists is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join its design and projects team. You will produce detailed LV switchgear designs and schematics, working closely with estimating, production, and site teams to ensure projects progress from design through commissioning.

You will have demonstrable experience in LV switchgear, control panels and MCCs, with CAD software such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN or SEE Electrical, and a strong grasp of

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical design within LV switchgear, control panels, MCCs, or distribution boards.
• Knowledge of BS 7671, BS EN 61439 and IEC standards.
• Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, SEE Electrical).
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Producing electrical designs, schematics and panel layouts.
• Working from client specifications and project requirements.
• Liaising with clients, contractors, suppliers and internal teams.
• Supporting FAT and SAT testing.
• Producing technical submissions and O&M manuals.
• Managing multiple projects from design through to delivery.
• Providing technical support to sales, production and site teams.
