We are inviting you to join us as an Electrical Design Engineer to design and manage projects from start to finish— from first contact with the customer for solution definition to order follow-up during installation and testing.

Responsibilities
  • Design and manage electrical design projects from definition to installation and testing.
  • Creation of diagrams and schematics required by the project (single line diagrams, Keyline diagrams, AC & DC, wiring, etc.).
  • Collaborate with production engineering to create the materials list and component specifications.
  • Assist and perform tasks under guidance during tendering, design, manufacturing, FAT, installation, and commissioning activities.
Required Skills
  • Formal engineering qualification.
  • Knowledge of AUTOCAD; knowledge of EPLAN would be of interest.
  • Knowledge of UK standards and presentation of electrical schematics within the MV/HV industry.
  • Protection and control systems design experience according to DNO standards in the UK.
  • Good knowledge of protection relays; experience creating settings and PSL files is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of LV electrical installations and 18th edition wiring regulations is useful but not essential for substation design.
  • Awareness of relevant ENA standards is advantageous.
  • A flexible, team-oriented mindset; willingness to cover colleagues’ duties as needed.
  • The candidate may be required to occasionally visit sites and possibly our factories in Spain.
  • Problem solving is an essential skill as we are a solutions company.
