Job summary

Entech Technical Solutions Limited is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer in Peterborough to transform diesel-powered machines into electric machines for a global automotive company. You will join a small team of specialist engineers guiding concepts through design, integration, build and validation in a fast-paced environment.

The role covers electrical design across multiple programmes, including schematic development, wiring and harness design, integration, prototype builds and validation

Qualifications

• Electrical design experience in a product development environment, including machine or vehicle electrical systems.
• Electrical schematic, wiring diagram and harness design experience, including connectors, terminals, pinouts, splices, cable and wire specification, 3D routing, flattening and production drawings.

Job description

Location: Peterborough

Rate: £38.50/ hour Umbrella (Inside IR35) or £28/ hour PAYE

Duration: 12 months (likely to extend)

Electrical Design Engineers will be transforming diesel-powered machines into electric machines on behalf of a global automotive company based in Peterborough. You will be working in a small team of specialist engineers developing early concept through design, integration, build and validation, helping deliver cutting-edge technologies in a fast-paced environment.

Electrical Design Engineers will provide electrical design capability across multiple programmes, supporting schematic development, wiring and harness design, electrical integration, prototype build activities and validation support.

Electrical Design Engineers will be using Creo, electrical schematic and harness design tools, engineering drawing and documentation systems.

Requirements:

• Electrical design experience in a product development environment, including machine or vehicle electrical systems.
• Electrical schematic, wiring diagram and harness design experience, including connectors, terminals, pinouts, splices, cable and wire specification, 3D routing, flattening and production drawings.
• Proficiency in Creo and Teamcenter
