Job summary

Blueprint Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer for major UK water and wastewater projects. The role focuses on delivering electrical design across infrastructure and non-infrastructure works, with opportunities across eight office locations in the UK.

The candidate will work with civil, mechanical and process engineers, taking greater technical responsibility and contributing to multidisciplinary design reviews throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Electrical design engineering experience in water/wastewater projects.
• Qualification in electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
• Good understanding of electrical design principles and standards.
• Experience producing and reviewing technical design information.

£60,000-£78,000 | UK Wide | Permanent | Water & Wastewater

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a major UK design campaign delivering infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects across the water sector.

With opportunities available UK-wide, you can work from offices in Manchester, London, Bristol, Exeter, Derby, Peterborough, Glasgow or Northern Ireland, contributing to a significant programme of water and wastewater treatment work.

The role would suit an established electrical engineer looking to take greater technical responsibility while working alongside civil, mechanical, process and wider engineering disciplines.

The Role

You'll be involved in:

• Delivering electrical design across water and wastewater treatment projects
• Developing electrical engineering solutions throughout the design lifecycle
• Producing and reviewing technical design information and documentation
• Coordinating electrical requirements with mechanical, civil and process disciplines
• Supporting multidisciplinary design reviews and technical coordination
• Resolving electrical design issues throughout project delivery
• Working closely with engineering, project and wider delivery teams
• Supporting projects through design development and technical delivery

What They're Looking For

• Strong Electrical Design Engineering experience
• Relevant electrical engineering qualification or equivalent experience
• Good understanding of electrical design principles
• Experience delivering technically complex engineering designs
• Ability to produce and review technical information
• Strong multidisciplinary coordination skills
• Good communication and stakeholder management capabilities
• Previous experience across water, wastewater, treatment works or wider process engineering environments would be highly beneficial.
