Job summary

Carrington West is seeking a Senior / Principal Electrical Design Engineer to work on major UK water and wastewater treatment schemes. You will deliver the full electrical design lifecycle from feasibility to final design, in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, with hybrid working from home up to 4 days and occasional office/site visits.

The role covers pumping stations, treatment works and associated infrastructure across the UK, with support for AMP projects and responsibilities for

Qualifications

• An Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
• Experience delivering projects through the full design lifecycle, from inception through to detailed design.
• Previous UK Water or Wastewater sector experience.
• Experience working on AMP-related projects for a UK Water Authority.
• Experience using 3D design tools and other relevant proprietary engineering software.
• The ability to take technical responsibility for smaller projects and individual work packages.
• Experience designing electrical solutions for Water treatment works, Wastewater treatment works, pumping stations, reservoirs or associated water infrastructure.

Location: Positions UK Wide, Hybrid to Local Office (up to 4 days from home)

Rate: Based on Experience

Are you a Senior / Principal Electrical Design Engineer looking for a new challenge on major UK Water and Wastewater treatment schemes?

You will be working with a leading Design & Build contractor delivering major clean and wastewater projects across a range of frameworks nationwide. With projects and design teams supporting Water Authority AMP programmes throughout the UK, they are looking to recruit additional electrical design support across their regional teams.

If you are not based close to one of their offices, they can consider a more flexible arrangement for the right candidate, with travel to an office or site potentially required just once a fortnight.

As a Senior / Principal Electrical Design Engineer, you will be supporting Water and Wastewater treatment projects across the full design lifecycle, from feasibility and outline design through to detailed and final design. You will be working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, reviewing technical designs and submissions and helping ensure electrical solutions are practical, compliant and ready for successful delivery.

You will be:
