Job summary

Equans is seeking an Electrical Craftsperson to join our team at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham on a permanent, full-time basis. The role involves maintenance of NHS Trust electrical services with a 37.5-hour week and a competitive salary and benefits package.

You will primarily work at the Mental Health Sites Barberry, Oleaster and Zinnia, with potential extension to other areas as requested by Senior Management.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship with recognised electrical qualifications.
• Right to work in the UK evidence.
• UK DBS clearance may be required.
• Driving licence and clean criminal record preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain NHS Trust services and complete paperwork promptly.
• Carry out installations/repairs to sockets, switches, lamps.
• Perform retro-fit, rewiring, emergency lighting checks, PAT and RCD tests.
• Assist with relocations/moves and estate housekeeping.
• Drive company vehicle and participate in on-call rota.

Equans is looking for an Electrical Craftsperson to join our team based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham on a permanent basis.

This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week.

What will you deliver?

• Work primarily at the Mental Health Sites of Barberry, Oleaster & Zinnia, with potential extension to other areas as requested by Senior Management.
• Undertake reasonable duties directed by TSM/Supervisor/Helpdesk to maintain all services to the NHS Trust, ensuring all associated paperwork is completed satisfactorily, accurately and promptly.
• Carry out all works in compliance with EQUANS KPIs and contract.
• Enter departments containing service users undergoing various treatments/procedures, reporting to departmental staff.
• Cover general installations/repairs to sockets, switches, lamps.
• Retro‑fit components, rewiring assets, emergency lighting PPMs, fuse board checks, PAT testing, RCD testing.
• Provide support by manual labour for relocations and moves, tidying and cleaning Estates areas and plant rooms.
• Drive the company vehicle as required and take part in the on‑call rota.

• EAL Level 3 Electrotechnical NVQ or C & G 2357 level 3 NVQ
• AM218th Edition of the Wiring Regulations C& G 2382-18
• Driving licence.
