Brief
Electrical Craftsperson needed for a well-known, large Facilities Management organisation based in Birmingham who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Electrical Craftsperson that takes pride in their work with an in-depth knowledge of Electrical crafts in general installations / repairs to sockets, switches, lamps. Retro fitting components, rewiring assets, emergency lighting PPMs, fuse board checks, PAT testing and RCD testing.
The successful candidate would have a relevant qualification - i.e. NVQ 3 in electrical installations, AM2 and apprenticeship training etc. - and have an interest in Electrical Crafts. If you have commercial experience in healthcare that would be a plus!

What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Electrical Craftsperson will include:
- The responsibilities will mainly be at the Mental Health Sites of Barberry, Oleaster & Zinnia, however this could extend to other areas on the contract if requested by Senior Management
- Undertake any reasonable duties directed by TSM/Supervisor/Helpdesk to maintain all services to the NHS Trust, and ensure that all associated paperwork is completed in a satisfactory, accurate and prompt manner
- Carry out all work in compliance with KPI's and contract
- Scope of work will include entering departments containing service users undergoing various treatments/procedures after reporting to departmental staff. Occasional exposure to distressing or emotional circumstances could be encountered
- General duties will include but is not limited to the following; general installations / repairs to sockets, switches, and lamps. Retro fitting components, rewiring assets, emergency lighting PPMs, fuse board checks, PAT testing, RCD testing, etc.
- Carry out general duties including support by manual labour for relocations and moves, tidying and cleaning Estates areas and Plant rooms
- Drive the company vehicle as required to meet the needs of the service
- Participate in the on‑call rota
What experience you need to be the successful Electrical Craftsperson:
Electrical Installation - Approved apprenticeship with either:
- Base electrical qualifications C&G Part A & B
- City & Guild 236 Part 1 & 2
- City & Guilds 2330 / 2365 levels 2 & 3 Diploma
- EAL Electrical installation QCF Diploma levels 1, 2 & 3 (601/0409/0 & 600/6724/X & 600/9331/6)
- EAL Level 3 Electrotechnical NVQ or C & G 2357 level 3 NVQ
- AM2
- 18th Edition of the Wiring Regulations C& G 2382-18
- Driving licence
(This role includes a DBS Enhanced with Barred Lists, therefore ability to pass is essential.)
