Job description

Role: Junior Controls Engineer

Salary: Circa £30,000 - £35,000 per annum dependent on experience

Type: Permanent

Location: Gloucestershire

My client works within engineering and they are looking to take on a Junior Controls Engineer to develop as part of their team long term.

Attributes:

1. BEng / BSc / HND / NVQ qualification or similar in Electrical Engineering
2. Any previous experience of working in a hands-on electrical manufacturing environment would be ideal
3. Candidates who have recently completed their studies would suit this position well
4. Knowledge of PLC's such as Allen Bradley, Siemens, Schneider etc. would be desirable
5. Excellent communication skills
6. Able to work well individually as well as part of a team

Responsibilities:

1. Working in a hands-on environment carrying out PLC coding, panel building, machine wiring, and final testing of equipment
2. Providing technical support to customers as required
3. Some occasional site visits
4. Offering support to Apprentices
5. Working with the engineering team to help improve processes where possible
