Role: Electrical Controls Engineer

Salary: Dependent on experience

Type: Permanent

Location: Gloucestershire

My client, operating within the engineering sector, is looking to hire a Controls Engineer to join their team for the long term. The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

1. BEng / BSc / HND / NVQ qualification or similar in Electrical Engineering
2. Experience working in a hands-on electrical manufacturing environment is preferred
3. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply
4. Knowledge of PLCs such as Allen Bradley, Siemens, Schneider, etc., is desirable
5. Excellent communication skills
6. Ability to work independently and within a team

The Controls Engineer role will involve:

1. Working in a hands-on environment, including PLC coding, panel building, machine wiring, and final testing of equipment
2. Providing technical support to customers as needed
3. Occasional site visits
4. Supporting Apprentices
