Job summary

Cavendish Nuclear is recruiting for an Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Engineering Degree Apprenticeship in Warrington. You will join engineering teams across either Civil Decommissioning or Defence, designing control systems, CAD models and performing electrical load calculations while studying towards a degree.

The four-year programme includes training across materials science, CAD, systems integration and prototyping, ending with a BEng (Hons) in Professional Engineering and Level 6

Qualifications

• GCSEs Maths, English and Science at grade C/4 or above.
• UCAS points and STEM subjects as listed for entry.
• Commitment to security clearance (BPSS/SC) and UK residency rules.
• Willingness to study toward degree apprenticeship standards.

Responsibilities

• Produce technical documentation throughout the design lifecycle.
• Assess designs for risk and safety compliance.
• Learn and apply industry standards and regulations.
• Design control systems and CAD models for nuclear facilities.
• Support from initial concept to detailed design and manufacture.
• Participate in internal training including radiological shielding and risk assessment.
