Job Description - Electrical Compliance Manager (25756)

Job Title: Electrical Compliance Manager

Location & Working Pattern: Hybrid working, 2 days from our office in Newcastle City Centre, the rest from home. Permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week), Monday to Friday.

Salary & Benefits: Circa £50,000 per annum, negotiable based on skills and experience, plus benefits including a health cash plan.

Overview: Join our Building Safety Compliance Team as an Electrical Compliance Manager to lead safety and trust initiatives. This role involves overseeing electrical safety assurance, guiding audits, mentoring auditors, and ensuring compliance with standards as the NICEIC duty holder. Your leadership will enhance safety, improve processes, and influence our service quality.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead NICEIC electrical safety assurance to maintain registration standards.
2. Plan and execute technical audits, both on-site and desk-based, with effective follow-up.
3. Mentor and support a team of electrical auditors to develop their skills and confidence.
4. Analyze inspection data to identify trends, reduce risks, and implement improvements.
5. Collaborate with teams and contractors to elevate standards and address root causes.
6. Drive key projects and innovative practices within compliance functions.

Candidate Requirements:

• Relevant electrical qualification and practical compliance experience.
• Strong technical oversight and assurance skills.
• Experience managing audit programs in social housing or similar sectors.
• Ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable outcomes.
• Collaborative approach with mentoring abilities to foster trust and performance.
• Knowledge of landlord responsibilities, NICEIC regulations, and a commitment to safety.
