Job summary

Example Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Desktop Supervisor to join a property maintenance team delivering services across domestic social housing. The role focuses on technical oversight, compliance and commercial review of electrical works in line with current regulations.

You will review, approve and sign off electrical works, variations and supplier applications, working with the operations team, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure safe, cost-effective delivery.

Qualifications

• Recognised electrical qualification and strong technical background.
• Ability to review, approve and sign off electrical works.
• Good understanding of electrical compliance and current regulations.
• Experience in property maintenance, social housing or building services is a plus.
• Understand variations, supplier applications and commercial processes.
• Be confident reviewing technical information and making informed approval decisions.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee electrical compliance across domestic social housing maintenance and repair programmes.
• Review and approve electrical variations, ensuring works are justified, accurately costed and compliant.
• Assess and authorise supplier applications and associated submissions.
• Ensure all electrical works meet current regulations, legislation and relevant industry standards.
• Review technical documentation, certificates and electrical sign-off requirements.
• Apply and monitor commercial codes, ensuring accurate coding and cost allocation.
• Work closely with operational teams, suppliers and subcontractors to resolve technical and commercial queries.
• Monitor the quality and compliance of completed electrical works.
• Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues and supply chain partners.
• Identify areas for improvement in processes, compliance and service delivery.
