Job summary

Aldwych Consulting in London is seeking an experienced Associate Electrical Engineer to join its senior leadership team. You will lead an internal team, coordinate resources and oversee delivery across a diverse portfolio of building services projects.

The role combines technical leadership with people management and client relationship responsibilities, with a focus on sustainable design and BIM coordination.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• Experience in a UK building services consultancy.
• Knowledge of UK regulations and standards for electrical building services.
• Experience managing projects, fees, resources and delivery programmes.
• Leadership and people management skills, including workload planning.
• Excellent communication, organisation and client-facing skills.
• Balance technical responsibilities with commercial and managerial priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of electrical building services engineers.
• Act as line manager, supporting team members' welfare, professional development, workloads and day-to-day activities.
• Oversee the successful delivery of all projects within your team, ensuring quality, programme and budget requirements are met.
• Lead electrical design and multidisciplinary coordination across multiple projects.
• Manage project fees, resources, budgets and commercial performance.
• Act as Project Lead on selected schemes, overseeing technical delivery and client communication.
• Coordinate with mechanical, public health, architectural and structural teams.
• Provide technical guidance, design reviews and mentoring to engineers at different levels.
• Support client relationships, business development and the development of new opportunities.
• Promote best practice in sustainable design, BIM coordination and technical quality.
