Job summary

RGB Recruitment is seeking an Electrical Building Services Design Engineer in Northampton to develop electrical building services designs for residential and accommodation-led developments, from initial design through to handover.

The role involves collaboration with estimating and BIM teams, delivering coordinated 3D models and 2D drawings, and ensuring compliance with standards and safety regulations throughout project delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in electrical building services design.
• Comprehensive knowledge across electrical engineering services.
• Experience working across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a 'right first time' approach.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical building services designs through project stages up to design handover (BSRIA Stage 6).
• Support estimating with tender production for design and build projects.
• Work with BIM to create spatially coordinated 3D models and 2D drawings.
• Support project teams through installation, commissioning and handover.
• Ensure designs comply with employer requirements, statutory requirements and standards.
