Job summary

Anglian Water Services in the Humber region is recruiting an Electrical Asset Technician to wire, install and maintain the diverse electrical assets used to treat and distribute water. The role covers Grimsby, Brigg and surrounding areas, with a 37-hour week and flexibility for part-time shifts.

You will gain valuable skills and qualifications through on-the-job training, with progression opportunities as the company grows.

Qualifications

• Level 3 electrical qualification is required.
• Completed electrical apprenticeship is required.
• Strong health & safety focus is essential.
• Industrial electrical experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Calibrating and maintaining technical analytical equipment.
• Investigate asset trends and carry out electrical interventions.
• Assist electrical framework contractors and internal high voltage, optimisation and automation teams.
• Utilise electrical drawings to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• React to technical issues to maintain water supply.

£45,760 plus overtime and standby payments, with opportunity for pay progression up to £60,000

Key responsibilities

You’ll be responsible for wiring, installing, maintaining and controlling the high diversity of electrical equipment necessary to treat and distribute water.

This includes

• Calibrating and maintaining technical analytical equipment
• Investigate asset trends and carry out electrical interventions
• Assist electrical framework contractors and internal high voltage, optimisation and automation teams
• Utilise electrical drawings to troubleshoot and resolve issues
• React to technical issues to maintain water supply

What does it take to be an Electrical Asset Technician?

• Level 3 electrical qualification AND
• Completed an electrical apprenticeship
• Strong health & safety focus
• Industrial electrical experience
• Ability to work standby-by and overtime as necessary

As well as carrying out planned & reactive maintenance on our electrical assets, you will work towards a Licence to Operate Qualification to enable you to operate and maintain water treatment assets and processes.
