Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Electrician to become an Electrical Assessor. The role offers hybrid working, full training, and a salary in the £36k–£40k range plus a car allowance and holiday and development perks.

You will assess apprentices at their workplaces, manage your own diary, and support NVQ portfolio development while transitioning from industry to assessing. A strong practical background is essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with background in electrical installation.
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation is required.
• Must hold a valid ECS/JIB Gold Card.
• Strong practical industry experience.
• Previous teaching or assessing experience is not essential.
• Enjoys developing others and sharing technical knowledge.
• Looking to step off the tools and move into an assessing role.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Based within approximately 20 miles of Birmingham.

Responsibilities

• Full training provided to become a qualified Electrical Assessor.
• Hybrid working, combining home working with workplace visits.
• Manage your own diary and organise your working day.
• Support apprentices working towards their NVQ qualifications.
• Conduct workplace assessments and review apprentices' practical skills.
• Guide, coach and mentor apprentices throughout their training.
• Support learners in developing and completing their NVQ portfolios.
• Travel to apprentice workplaces across the local area.
