Job summary

The NICEIC is recruiting Area Engineers in Surrey to deliver electrotechnical scheme assessments and support contractors in meeting high industry standards. You will assess contractors, build trusted relationships, and promote NICEIC services while ensuring compliance.

You will visit sites, assess eligibility for certification, and contribute to business success through excellent service and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Strong technical background in electrical installations with knowledge of BS 7671.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Complete a weekly programme of NICEIC assessment visits.
• Assess contractors against electrical industry standards.
• Assess applicants for scheme certification and visit other areas as needed.
• Make recommendations and complete documentation per scheme procedures.
• Build relationships with customers and provide excellent service.
• Support training/mentoring of new Area Engineers.
• Work in line with the NICEIC Health and Safety Policy.
• Undertake other duties including supporting marketing events.
