Job summary

GNA Group in Croydon is seeking an Electrical Engineer to perform fixed wiring testing (EICR) across domestic and commercial properties, mainly social housing and local authority projects, with remedial work during visits and full rewires for non-compliant properties. The role requires strong electrical knowledge, hands-on testing, certification, and the ability to report clearly.

You will work in South London, Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm, with driving licence and mobile tech for on-site job

Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year

Location: Croydon & surrounding areas.

Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join one of our clients, this role is based predominantly in South London. In this vital role, you will be responsible for completing fixed wiring testing (EICR) cross a variety of domestic and commercial properties, primarily within social housing and local authority sectors, which includes carrying out remedial works during the inspection visit where possible, with full rewires for non-compliant properties.

Requirements for the Electrical Engineer

• Strong knowledge of the electrical industry
• Extensive experience in testing and inspection
• Competent in completing electrical certification
• Proven diagnostic and fault-finding ability
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Accurate reporting and excellent attention to detail
• Confident using mobile devices to complete electronic job sheets
• Good practical skills and customer communication
• Positive attitude, reliability and good timekeeping

What You Will Have

• L3 Electrical Installations Diploma
• City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification (or equivalent - preferred)
• AM2 Assessment (preferred)
• Inspection & Testing (C&G #removed#)
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (C&G #removed#)
• Full UK driving licence (held for at least 12 months)
