Job summary

Windsor Forest Colleges Group is seeking an Electrical Apprenticeship Programme Lead to take operational ownership of the Electrical apprenticeship provision across the Slough & Langley College campuses. You will lead the delivery team, drive standardisation and manage key quality processes.

You will also train, coach and assess apprentices against industry standards, identify at-risk learners early, and ensure readiness for End Point Assessment.

Qualifications

• Relevant vocational qualifications in Electrical Installation or Maintenance are required.
• 18th Edition certification and AM2 / AM2S are required or a willingness to work towards them.
• Teaching or assessing qualifications or willingness to obtain them is expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead EQA visits and manage IQA processes to ensure compliance.
• Track retention and achievement targets and drive quality improvement via self-assessment reviews.
• Train, coach and assess a caseload of apprentices against industry standards.
• Act as primary contact for local and national employers to keep curriculum aligned with sector needs.

Job description

Windsor Forest Colleges Group is looking for an Electrical Apprenticeship Programme Lead to join the Apprenticeships Department at our Slough & Langley College campus. This permanent role is full time and pays between 45,196 (M38) and 48,286 (M41) on the Support Staff pay scale, dependent on experience and qualifications.

Are you an experienced electrical specialist and leader looking to shape the next generation of trade professionals? Windsor Forest Colleges Group is seeking a dynamic Electrical Apprenticeship Programme Lead to manage, oversee and elevate our Electrical Apprenticeship provision at our Slough & Langley College campus.

As Programme Lead, you will take operational ownership of the Electrical apprenticeship provision throughout the entire learner journey. Reporting to the Head of Apprenticeships, you will provide strong leadership to your delivery team through regular line management, curriculum planning and standardisation. Your key responsibilities will include leading EQA visits, managing IQA processes, tracking retention and achievement targets and driving quality improvement through regular self assessment reviews.

In addition to team leadership, you will directly train, coach and assess a caseload of apprentices against industry standards, identifying at-risk learners early to put effective support strategies in place and ensure their readiness for End Point Assessment (EPA / AM2S). You will also act as the primary point of contact for local and national employers, ensuring our curriculum remains responsive to sector needs.

We are seeking candidates with relevant vocational qualifications in Electrical Installation or Maintenance, an 18th Edition certification, AM2 / AM2S, and recognised teaching or assessing qualifications or a willingness to work towards them.
