Job summary

The Windsor Forest Colleges Group invites applications for an Electrical Apprenticeship Programme Lead based at Slough, Berkshire. You will take operational ownership of the Electrical apprenticeship provision across the learner journey, reporting to the Head of Apprenticeships and guiding the delivery team through line management, curriculum planning and standardisation.

• Ensure curriculum planning aligns with industry standards and EPA readiness.
• Oversee quality assurance processes including IQA and EQA activities.
• Support professional development and succession planning for tutors and assessors.

Responsibilities

• Lead EQA visits and oversee IQA processes.
• Track learner retention and achievement targets.
• Drive quality improvement through self-assessment reviews.
• Train, coach and assess a caseload of apprentices to industry standards.
• Identify at-risk learners and implement targeted support.
• Ensure apprentices are prepared for End Point Assessment (EPA/AM2S).
• Serve as primary contact for local and national employers to keep curriculum aligned with sector needs.

Electrical Apprenticeship Programme Lead - Slough, Berkshire

Electrical Apprenticeship provision at our Slough & Langley College campus. As Programme Lead, you will take operational ownership of the Electrical apprenticeship provision throughout the entire learner journey. You will report to the Head of Apprenticeships and provide strong leadership to your delivery team through regular line management, curriculum planning and standardisation.

Key responsibilities

• Train, coach and assess a caseload of apprentices against industry standards
• Identify at-risk learners early and put effective support strategies in place
• Ensure apprentices' readiness for End Point Assessment (EPA / AM2S)
• Act as primary point of contact for local and national employers, ensuring our curriculum remains responsive to sector needs

Requirements

• Relevant vocational qualifications in Electrical Installation or Maintenance
• 18th Edition certification
• AM2 / AM2S
• Recognised teaching or assessing qualifications or willingness to work towards them

Salary and Working Conditions

Permanent, full-time role. Salary range: 45,196 (M38) - 48,286 (M41) on the Support Staff pay scale, dependent on experience and qualifications. Work location: Slough & Langley College campus.
