Job summary

National Grid Electricity Distribution (NGED) in Weston-super-Mare is seeking a Grade 5 Network Planner to design, reinforce and replace electrical network assets. You will work with Engineers to keep the network reliable and minimise customer impact.

You’ll need GCSE English/Maths at C or above, Level 2 City & Guilds 2339 (and Level 3 if not yet attained), plus a full UK driving licence for site visits. Training will be provided to reach required standards.

Qualifications

• GCSE English/Maths C or equivalent.
• Level 2 City & Guilds 2339 or equivalent.
• Level 3 City & Guilds 2339 when required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver new services, alterations and small capital projects.
• Design schemes meeting Engineering Directives and account for voltage drops.
• Prepare quotations and Connection Agreements for LV works.
• Access, remove or avoid site risks.
