Job summary

National Grid Electricity Distribution in Weston-Super-Mare is recruiting a Grade 5 Network Planner to design our network and work with engineers to construct, reinforce, or replace equipment. You’ll manage projects with a focus on safety, efficiency and minimal customer impact while meeting tight deadlines.

You'll need English and Maths GCSE Grade C/Level 4 (or Functional Skills Level 2) and Level 2 City & Guilds 2339, with Level 3 possible after appointment.

Qualifications

• English and Maths GCSE Grade C/Level 4 minimum, or Functional Skills Level 2 or above.
• Level 2 City & Guilds 2339, or equivalent qualification of the same level.
• If not already attained you'll need to undertake Level 3 City & Guilds 2339.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver new services, alterations and small capital projects.
• Design schemes that align with Engineering Directives and take into account voltage drops.
• Prepare quotations and Connection Agreements for LV connection-related works.
• Access, remove or avoid site risks.
