Job summary

Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Elective Admissions Team Leader (NHS AfC Band 4) in Bath. You will manage a team of Booking Co-ordinators and ensure efficient patient access targets in line with Trust policy and national guidance.

You will provide line management support to senior staff, develop processes, and monitor booking performance. This role requires strong organisation and communication skills within a busy healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• GCSE/O Level or equivalent required.
• Experience in a customer/patient focused environment preferred.
• Ability to supervise and develop staff.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the operational management of a team of Booking Co-ordinators.
• Coordinate and monitor annual/study leave and sickness absence with accurate leave records.
• Recruitment of new staff including short-listing, interviewing and selection.
• Involve in training of newly appointed staff and staff development.
• Identify and address performance management issues.
• Undertake staff appraisals with line manager to identify development needs.
• Attend regular meetings and cascade information to staff.
• Support and develop booking processes and PTL/target management.
