Job summary

North Lanarkshire Council is recruiting two Early Learning & Childcare Support Workers for Gartcosh Primary School & Nursery Class on a 30-hour week, term-time basis. The posts involve helping plan, develop and deliver high-quality learning experiences for young children in a new nursery within the school.

Successful candidates will register with the SSSC for Support Worker Level and be willing to join the PVG scheme.

Qualifications

• Applicants do not require experience working within an ELC environment but should have a keen interest in this area and demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional learning and development.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning, development, and co-ordination of learning programmes within the ELC setting to ensure positive outcomes for all children.
• Support and nurture children through engaging and stimulating learning experiences.
• Be an excellent communicator with the ability to build relationships with children, parents, carers, colleagues and partner professionals.
