Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council invites applications for a part-time Early Years Support Worker at Lanark Primary Nursery Class. The post is 20 hours per week, term time (39 weeks per year), with a pattern of 10am–2pm, Monday to Friday. The contract is temporary up to June 2027.

You will support learning and development, working as part of the Early Learning and Childcare team to deliver a high-quality service and engage with children, parents and staff.

Qualifications

• Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a support worker.
• Willingness to obtain one of the listed qualifications if not held.
• Experience working with young children in a professional setting.

Responsibilities

• Support the learning and development of young children within Early Learning and Childcare establishments.
• Work as an effective member of the ELC team to deliver a high-quality service.
• Contribute to a positive ethos and partnership working with parents and professionals.
