Job summary

Renfrewshire Council is seeking an Early Learning and Childcare Operations Officer to lead the operational functions of the ELC service across Renfrewshire, reporting to the Education Manager. You will manage admissions from birth to five, oversee day care and wraparound care, support workforce development, and coordinate data reporting and improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business/Administration or equivalent qualification.
• Extensive experience in public/third sector operations.
• Experience compiling, managing and analyzing data to support improvements.
• Experience monitoring budgets and financial performance.
• Experience partnering with internal and external providers and stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication and people management skills.
• Ability to plan, prioritise and adapt to changing service needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage admissions processes for age birth to five.
• Oversee day care and wraparound care provision.
• Gather, analyse and report data to support planning and improvement.
• Contribute to workforce development and training opportunities.
• Support tendering, procurement and grant activity.
• Provide line management for ELC Assistant Operations Officer and Business Support Officer.
• Build partnerships with private and voluntary sector providers.
