Job summary

Falkirk Council is seeking an Early Years Officer for Camelon Early Learning and Childcare Centre. The role covers 37 hours per week during term time, with salary adjusted for term-time working.

You will promote high-quality play and learning for children aged 3-5 across indoor and outdoor settings. Applicants should hold an HNC/SVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent, be registered with or seeking registration with the SSSC, and be prepared to maintain PVG scheme membership.

Qualifications

• Requires HNC/SVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent.
• Must be registered with or seeking registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
• PVG scheme membership is required.
• Full-time (37 hours) and term time working pattern.
• Centre opens 8am–6pm with shifts within these hours.

Early Years Officer Camelon Early Learning and Childcare Centre Post ID CS3830 An opportunity has arisen for Early Years Officers to join the large team at Camelon ELC Centre. You will have skills, knowledge and experience of all current Early Learning and Childcare provision and procedures and have a passion for promoting and delivering high quality play and learning both indoors and outdoors. You will work as an effective team member and establish positive relationships with children and families. You will have knowledge and experience of current early learning and childcare provision and procedures. With recent, relevant experience of working with children, you will have an HNC/SVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent. You must be registered with or currently seeking registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership. The post is full time (37 hours) and is term time. Salary will be adjusted for term time working. Please note the ELC Centre is open from 8am to 6pm and you must be prepared to work a shift pattern between these hours.
