Job summary

Trant Engineering Ltd. is seeking an experienced EICA Design Engineer in Southampton to design, manage and deliver projects of moderate complexity within the Electrical department.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, mentor juniors, and ensure outcomes meet technical and sustainability standards. The role requires independent judgement, relationship-building with stakeholders, and oversight of scopes, schedules, and budgets in a growing EPC contractor environment.

Qualifications

• Typically 3–5 years of relevant engineering experience including project design and coordination.
• Experience mentoring junior staff and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to plan and oversee scopes, schedules and budgets with alignment to sustainability principles.

Responsibilities

• Apply EICA engineering principles to design projects.
• Prepare comprehensive EICA specifications, drawings and documentation.
• Design and conduct site investigations; analyze survey data.
• Lead project teams and manage budgets and schedules.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate with stakeholders.
