Job summary

Morgan Ryder Associates is seeking an EICA Engineer to lead Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation initiatives at a modern production site in Liverpool. You will develop, implement and optimise advanced manufacturing systems to improve efficiency and reliability.

The role requires experience in PLC, SCADA and MES, instrumentation and motor control, plus a proactive, solutions-focused mindset. You'll collaborate with Operations, Engineering and external partners on projects from

Qualifications

Degree, HNC or HND in Electrical, Electronic, Automation or related Engineering discipline.
Experience in manufacturing, process, food, chemical or similar industrial environments.
Strong knowledge of PLC programming, SCADA, MES, instrumentation, VSDs and motor control systems.

Responsibilities

Leading automation and process control improvements across the site.
Developing and supporting PLC, SCADA and MES systems.
Delivering engineering and capital projects from concept to commissioning.
Driving reliability, performance and operational efficiency improvements.
Providing technical leadership on instrumentation and control systems.
Supporting digital transformation and smart manufacturing initiatives.
Managing contractors, suppliers and project stakeholders.
Creating and maintaining control system documentation and standards.
Coaching and developing engineering colleagues.
Contributing to a culture of safety, continuous improvement and operational excellence.
