Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking an experienced EHS Specialist for a busy manufacturing environment in the UK. You will develop and deliver the site's EHS strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance while driving continuous improvement and embedding a strong safety culture.

The role requires hands-on EHS expertise, data-driven problem solving, and practical implementation of risk controls, with a focus on ISO 14001/45001 and contractor management.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH certificate or diploma is required.
• Experience implementing ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Strong knowledge of EHS legislation and risk management.
• Experience with risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Experience with contractor management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver EHS strategies, programmes and action plans to improve site performance.
• Maintain and continuously improve the EHS management systems, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Provide expert EHS advice translating legislation into practical processes, controls and training.
• Lead investigations into accidents, incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Take responsibility for EHS considerations relating to contractors, process assets, equipment and site activities.
• Support the development of a positive EHS culture through audits, safety meetings, training and engagement.
