Job summary

Irwin and Colton is seeking an EHS Specialist to support the development and implementation of safety and environmental programmes at a busy Coventry site. The role focuses on compliance with legislation and ISO standards while fostering a safety-first culture.

Key responsibilities include maintaining the HSE management system (ISO 14001/45001), ensuring legal compliance, and driving continuous improvement through investigations, risk assessments, and audits.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification in health, safety, and environmental management.
• Proven experience managing ISO 14001/45001 systems and legal compliance.
• Strong knowledge of EHS directives and safety management in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining and enhancing the Health, Safety, and Environmental management system, including ISO14001/45001 accreditation
• Ensure the business remains compliant with all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation
• Develop, implement, and update Health & Safety and Environmental procedures, manuals, and safe systems of work
• Support incident investigations, risk assessments, and audits to drive continuous improvement
