Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking an experienced EHS Specialist to join its busy engineering and manufacturing site in Coventry. The role focuses on developing and delivering the site’s EHS strategy, ensuring compliance and driving continuous improvement in safety and environmental performance.

You will work closely with management, facilities and maintenance teams to embed a strong safety culture, translate legislation into practical processes, and lead investigations into incidents and near misses.

Qualifications

• Strong EHS background in engineering or manufacturing settings.
• Experience implementing ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
• Knowledge of EHS legislation and practical risk management.
• Experience with risk assessments, investigations, change and contractor management.
• Proactive, practical and solutions‑focused approach to EHS.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver EHS strategies, programmes and action plans.
• Maintain and improve EHS management systems (ISO 14001/45001).
• Provide expert EHS advice translating regulations into practical processes.
• Lead investigations into accidents, incidents and near misses.
• Manage EHS considerations for contractors, assets and site activities.
• Support a positive EHS culture via audits, training and engagement.
