AVK-SEG UK Ltd is at the forefront of the energy sector, committed to innovation and sustainability in power solutions. We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Regional EHS Manager to oversee our environmental, health, and safety efforts across multiple data centre project sites.

As the Regional EHS Manager, you will be responsible for implementing and managing effective EHS programs to promote a safe and healthy work environment. You will serve as a key point of contact for EHS-related matters and be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards across all regional operations.

Role Overview

Lead the implementation of a professional, competent and knowledge sharing culture across all your sites ensuring that best in class health, safety and environment is planned, implemented and shared effectively. Be the person that AVK project teams see as a positive value adding service.

Key Objectives

  • Monitor and Improve EHS Performance:
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify improvement opportunities
  • Drive initiatives to reduce incidents and promote a proactive safety culture
  • Implement EHS Policies and Standards:
  • Ensure corporate EHS policies, procedures, and standards are consistently applied across all sites within the region
  • To achieve consistent safety standards across all parts of AVK business.


Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills
  • Assist the H&S Director in the consistent roll out of company strategy and expectations within EHS Management System
  • Carry out high quality safety inspections and audits of AVK workplaces at a frequency and with the intrusiveness as coached by the H&S Director. Perform risk reviews and EHS Audits
  • Attend sites following accidents/incidents and assist with the investigation. Lead the investigation where necessary.
  • Liaise with enforcement authorities if they attend site on routine visits or to investigate following an incident
  • Understand bespoke client requirements and tailor management system to same with line manager approval
  • Alert your line manager if there are signs of deterioration or lack of ownership to delivering expected AVK and / or bespoke client safety requirements
  • Assist the with tender and prequalification submissions where requested advising on Health and Safety concerns as well as helping provide practical solutions
  • Attend Start Up meetings with AVK site teams. Where requested attend other meetings with Client & supply chain
  • Coach staff at all levels in Health and Safety expectations and standards
  • Implement the management system and coach and encourage others to use it appropriately
  • Foster innovative ideas for enhanced safety performance
  • Deliver appropriate training, collaborate with project team and coach them on AVK EHS Management System.
  • Have and share knowledge and advice with teams on environmental principals and management


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or diploma in Occupational Health Safety and Environmental and 5+ years' experience of working in similar environment (Construction and operations) or 10+ years' experience working in the Environmental, Health and Safety field in lieu of degree
  • Must have good Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
  • Good knowledge of EHS Legislative requirements.
  • Construction experience
  • Experience working in a mission critical environment
  • Relevant Health & Safety Membership of recognised organisation (e.g., the Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH).


Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or diploma in Occupational Health Safety and Environmental and 5+ years' experience of working in similar environment (Construction and operations) or 10+ years' experience working in the Environmental, Health and Safety field in lieu of degree
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management, preferably in the energy or construction sectors
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant EHS regulations, standards, and industry best practices
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing EHS management systems and programs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage others at all levels
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
  • Experience conducting EHS audits, inspections, and incident investigations is essential
  • Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are highly desirable
  • Familiarity with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 standards is an advantages
  • Must have good Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
  • Good knowledge of EHS Legislative requirements.
  • Experience working in a mission critical environment
  • Relevant Health & Safety Membership of recognised organisation (e.g., the Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH).
