AVK-SEG UK Ltd is at the forefront of the energy sector, committed to innovation and sustainability in power solutions. We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Regional EHS Manager to oversee our environmental, health, and safety efforts across multiple data centre project sites.
As the Regional EHS Manager, you will be responsible for implementing and managing effective EHS programs to promote a safe and healthy work environment. You will serve as a key point of contact for EHS-related matters and be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards across all regional operations.
Role Overview
Lead the implementation of a professional, competent, and knowledge-sharing culture across all your sites, ensuring that best-in-class health, safety, and environment practices are planned, implemented, and shared effectively. Key Objectives
- Monitor and Improve EHS Performance: Track KPIs, conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify improvement opportunities. Drive initiatives to reduce incidents and promote a proactive safety culture.
- Implement EHS Policies and Standards: Ensure corporate EHS policies, procedures, and standards are consistently applied across all sites within the region. Achieve consistent safety standards across all parts of AVK business.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills.
- Assist the H&S Director in the consistent rollout of company strategy and expectations within the EHS Management System.
- Perform safety inspections, audits, risk reviews, and incident investigations.
- Liaise with enforcement authorities during routine visits or incident investigations.
- Understand and tailor management systems to bespoke client requirements with line manager approval.
- Alert line manager to signs of safety performance deterioration or lack of ownership.
- Assist with tender and prequalification submissions, advising on H&S concerns and practical solutions.
- Attend start-up meetings and other relevant meetings with clients and supply chain.
- Coach staff at all levels on Health and Safety expectations and standards.
- Implement and promote the use of the management system.
- Foster innovative ideas for safety performance enhancement.
- Deliver training and collaborate with project teams on the EHS Management System.
- Share knowledge on environmental principles and management.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or diploma in Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental fields, with 5+ years’ experience in a similar environment (Construction and operations), or 10+ years’ experience in the EHS field in lieu of degree.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
- Good knowledge of EHS legislative requirements.
- Experience working in mission-critical environments.
- Membership in recognized health & safety organizations (e.g., IOSH).
Requirements
- Same as minimum qualifications, emphasizing experience in energy or construction sectors, and knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and certifications like NEBOSH, ISO 14001, ISO 45001.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience conducting audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
