Job summary

Hugh Baird College is seeking an organised EHCP & Transitions Coordinator to join the Learner Support team. This role leads EHCP processes, coordinating consultations and annual reviews, and works with Local Authorities, schools, parents and external agencies to ensure SEND compliance.

The post is permanent, part-time (35 hours per week) with 40 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays, LGPS pension, and access to Medicash and other staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification in Maths and English.
• Experience working with EHCPs, SEND legislation and the SEND Code of Practice.
• Experience managing a high-volume caseload and meeting deadlines.
• Strong communication, report writing and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage EHCP annual reviews and consultations, ensuring statutory deadlines are met.
• Act as the main point of contact for Local Authorities, schools, parents/carers and external agencies.
• Support learners with SEND through effective transition planning and arrangements.
• Organise and facilitate annual review and transition meetings.
• Produce high-quality reports, consultation responses and learner documentation.
• Maintain accurate records and support High Needs funding and compliance processes.
