Job summary

Doncaster College is seeking an organised EHCP Coordinator to join the Additional Learning Support team and drive the Education, Health and Care Plan process for learners with SEND.

You will coordinate annual reviews, liaise with students, families and external agencies, ensure statutory compliance, and champion a person-centred approach to support positive learner outcomes across the college. The role involves maintaining records and contributing to reporting and professional development.

Qualifications

• Hold a relevant Level 4 qualification.
• Experience with learners who have a wide range of learning difficulties.
• Strong knowledge of learning difficulties and disabilities.
• Knowledge of SEND legislation and EHCP requirements.
• Excellent communication skills with students, families, staff and external professionals.
• Ability to manage a demanding workload and work on your own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Support identification and tracking of learners with EHCPs.
• Liaise with students, parents/carers, external agencies and staff during the consultation and review process.
• Coordinate and prepare annual reviews, gathering information from stakeholders.
• Chair EHCP annual review meetings.
• Attend Year 10 and Year 11 annual reviews as required.
• Ensure compliance with SEND Code of Practice.
• Promote a person-centred approach to EHCP reviews.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to reporting and quality improvement activities.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners to support positive learner outcomes.
• Participate in training and appraisal activities.
