Job summary

NRL Group is seeking an experienced Site Completion Engineer for a major EfW project in Tilbury, Essex. The role focuses on commissioning, handover, and on-site management to ensure a smooth completion of a large thermal facility.

Based at Thameside ERF, Tilbury, the position is full-time and site-based, reporting to the Site Construction Manager. Candidates should bring a strong track record in commissioning, P&IDs, and HSEQ compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience, ideally as commissioning lead on large industrial plants.
• Proven BOP/Boiler commissioning experience on KVI or EfW plants with process knowledge of thermal plants.
• Strong understanding of P&ID, isometric drawings and industrial process systems.
• Proactive approach with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in final construction inspections (FIS) with the site team.
• Coordinate design modifications with the Project Engineering Manager.
• Prepare and report on Turnover Packages (TOP).
• Oversee piping support and ATEX inspections, liaising with engineers, suppliers, and third-party certifiers.
• Ensure accurate as-built P&IDs are collected and transferred to the Project Engineering Manager.
• Drive compliance with project HSEQ requirements across all activities.
