Job summary

Astute People's Power team in Essex is seeking a Site Commissioning Completion Engineer for a long-term energy-from-waste project. The role focuses on leading commissioning activities on a large-scale industrial plant, coordinating with the project engineering team, and ensuring timely turnover packages and rigorous HSEQ compliance.

Candidates must have 5+ years of construction experience on large plants, hands-on EFW and boiler/BOP experience, and a strong grasp of P&IDs, isometrics, and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience within construction on a large-scale industrial plant as a commissioning lead engineer.
• Experience on Energy from Waste (EFW) plants and process/operation knowledge of thermal plants.
• Strong understanding of P&IDs isometrics, construction drawings and industrial process systems.
• Candidates must also hold BOP (Balance of Plant) and boiler experience.

Responsibilities

• Participating in construction final inspections (FIS) with the construction team.
• Coordinating potential design modification with the Project Engineering Manager
• Preparing and reporting progress on Turnover Packages (TOP)
• Coordinating piping support inspections and ATEX inspections with engineering, suppliers, and third-party certifiers
• Ensuring accurate as-built P&IDs are provided, collected, and transferred back to the Project Engineering Manager
• Actively promoting compliance with project HSEQ requirements across the team

Key skills
