Job summary

SUEZ is recruiting for an energy recovery plant operations role in the United Kingdom. You will monitor and optimise plant processes using the DCS, operate water tube boilers, and perform safe isolations to protect people and equipment.

You will ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations while supporting energy generation through normal operation, start-ups, and emergencies in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Experience in energy recovery or waste-to-energy plants is essential.
• Knowledge of boilers, combustion and process control.
• Understanding of health & safety and environmental legislation.
• DCS system operation experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, control and optimise plant processes using DCS to identify and resolve issues quickly.
• Operate and maintain water tube boilers, including water analysis and chemistry monitoring.
• Perform safe system isolations to protect people, plant and environment.
• Carry out regular checks, fault diagnosis and support safe energy generation during operations, start-ups, shutdowns and emergencies.
• Ensure full compliance with health, safety standards and environmental legislation at all times.
