Job description

As a Category Manager, you are confident in articulating business needs and enjoy challenging both internal and external stakeholders. Your remit would be to develop and implement effective strategic and operational plans for Starbucks retail coffee, Starbucks Reserve, and other lobby categories across all ownership models in the EMEA market. The purpose of this role is to lead the development of brand-consistent, consumer-led, and commercially effective plans, best practices, portfolio, and standards.

To excel in this role, you'll need to be confident in working cross-functionally. You will be responsible for developing and optimizing the portfolio, identifying growth opportunities, and driving commercial analysis. Additionally, you will keep abreast of industry trends and insights.

As our next Category Manager EMEA, you will play a key part in our journey to be the premium purveyor of the finest coffee in the world, inspiring and nurturing the human spirit – one person, one cup, and one neighborhood at a time.

The Key Requirements
  • Portfolio / Brand management experience, preferably in FMCG and/or Retail industry
  • Deep affinity with product, packaging, and innovation
  • Substantial experience in leading product/category/brand strategies, operational business plans, and implementation of big initiatives (from strategy to action)
  • Well-developed commercial skillset, with thorough data & sales analysis skills
  • Experience of leading product development projects and influencing NPD development from insight generation to completion in a branded business (launched product lines)

When you join Starbucks, you'll become part of a business on a transformation journey, so the ability to manage ambiguity is key. Your future in this role is yours to make, with the opportunity to impact the organization from day one.

At Starbucks, our mission is to nurture the limitless possibilities of human connection through sharing our products and knowledge with every cup, conversation, and community.

We believe in being a global organization with a diverse partner base, where everyone is considered a partner at Starbucks, not just an employee.

This role offers an opportunity to join a company with a rich history, deep knowledge of coffee, and a passion for fostering human connection.

The Benefits and Perks
  • 30% Starbucks In-store discount
  • Private Medical Insurance
  • Free weekly coffee bag, VIA instants, or Nespresso Pods
  • Flexible Working
  • Company Pension
  • Discretionary bonus
  • 4% flexible benefits
  • Great transport links - Gunnersbury or Chiswick tube stations. Limited free parking
