Large Loss Injury Claims Handler

Barker Munro Recruitment Ltd is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Large Loss Injury Claims Handler to join our dynamic client. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact while managing catastrophic personal injury claims potentially exceeding £1 million.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Proactively manage a caseload of complex catastrophic personal injury claims, including spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, and limb amputations.
2. Collaborate with departmental colleagues, external solicitors, and stakeholders to ensure timely and professional settlement of claims.
3. Negotiate settlements that are fair and satisfactory for all parties involved.
4. Analyse complex claim information and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in documentation.
5. Build strong relationships with reinsurers, panel solicitors, and other stakeholders.

Skills Required:

1. Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to handle large loss claims in excess of £500,000.
2. Solicitor or insurer background.
3. Analytical mindset for informed decision-making.
4. A team player who can work independently with a proactive approach.
