Global Trade Senior Advisor

The opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and ambitious individual to join EY's Global Trade team, focusing on global SAP advisory from a Customs and Trade perspective. The role involves SAP implementation projects and is part of the rapidly growing UKI Tax practice. You will work with multinational clients, collaborating with EY's Indirect Tax Transformation, Tax Technology, Tech Consulting teams, and the global EY network, including Tax and non-Tax SMEs. This role offers a chance to build and expand your corporate network.

Customs and Trade is a dynamic area with complex technical challenges. Clients need support understanding these challenges in terms of technology, data, controls, process, and governance. As a Trade SAP professional at EY, you'll leverage your experience with SAP functionality, SAP tax/trade applications, and third-party solutions to help clients select appropriate technology tools and manage their systems to meet tax and trade requirements effectively. Your primary focus will be engaging with clients to maximize the value of their SAP systems from a Customs and Trade perspective, whether during initial implementation or optimizing existing systems.

Core skills and attributes for success

• Business consulting experience is mandatory.
• Experience with SAP implementation, especially with a Trade and Customs focus (not limited to SAP GTS).
• Strong understanding of SAP ECC/S4 HANA processes related to Sales, Procurement, and Logistics.
• Hands-on experience with SAP GTS is preferred; basic understanding is acceptable.
• Experience with SAP EWM and TMS is a plus.
• Ability to work consultatively with clients, translating business objectives into SAP solutions.
• High-quality delivery, attention to detail.
• Experience leading international project teams or workstreams.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to coach, collaborate, and focus on customer service and quality.
