Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and ambitious individual to join EY’s Global Trade team, focusing on global SAP advisory from a Customs and Trade perspective. The role is integral to SAP implementation projects and involves working with multinational clients alongside EY’s Indirect Tax Transformation, Tax Technology, and Tech Consulting teams, as well as collaborating with our global EY network, including Tax and non-Tax SMEs.

Customs and Trade is a dynamic field with complex technical challenges. Our clients rely on us to understand the implications of technology, data, controls, processes, and governance strategies related to Customs and Trade. As a Trade SAP professional at EY, you will leverage your knowledge of SAP functionality, SAP tax and trade applications, and third-party solutions to help clients select appropriate technology tools and optimize their systems for tax and trade compliance, whether implementing new systems or enhancing existing ones.

Core skills and attributes for success

• Mandatory business consulting experience
• Experience with SAP implementation, especially related to Trade and Customs (not limited to SAP GTS)
• Good understanding of SAP ECC/S4 HANA processes in Sales, Procurement, and Logistics
• Hands-on SAP GTS implementation experience preferred; basic understanding acceptable
• Experience with SAP EWM and TMS is advantageous
• Ability to consult with clients, translating business needs into SAP solutions
• High-quality delivery with attention to detail
• Experience leading international project teams or workstreams
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to coach, collaborate, and demonstrate customer-centricity and service orientation
