Working with organisations in highly regulated or safety-critical industries to solve their complex engineering, infrastructure, or data challenges, digiLab specialises in solving problems where data is sparse or uncertain. Having grown from a small team of leading mathematicians and data scientists, digiLab teaches your teams how to solve their grand challenges using a secure AI platform, alongside expert consultancy. digiLab's platform - the Uncertainty Engine - is a no-code, agentic AI platform that combines data, models, and workflows to connect a trustworthy AI digital thread throughout an organisation.

About The Role

As Head of Marketing, you will lead the development and execution of digiLab's B2B marketing strategy to drive rapid growth and build a high-performing team. This is a full-time position (Monday to Thursday) reporting directly to the COO, offering a unique opportunity to shape marketing in a fast-growing deep tech company.

What we're looking for:

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Head of Marketing with experience in deep tech start-ups (AI, machine learning, engineering, or software), who understands how to build and scale B2B marketing for complex technical products.

What you will be doing with us:

As the Head of Marketing at digiLab, you will be responsible for:

  • Strategic Leadership: Partner with the executive team to execute a marketing strategy aligned with digiLab's growth and sales objectives.
  • Team Building & Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing marketing team, including the current Brand & PR Manager and Product Marketing Manager. Foster a collaborative, data-driven, and results-oriented culture. Set clear goals, timelines, and feedback loops for ongoing development.
  • Digital Marketing Execution: Oversee the digital marketing function, including SEO, PPC, website optimisation, marketing automation, and analytics. Ensure campaigns are aligned with lead generation, pipeline acceleration, and ROI.
  • Market & Customer Insights: Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform strategy. Use insights to shape targeted campaigns for technical audiences.
  • Sales Alignment: Work closely with Sales and Product teams to ensure marketing directly supports revenue growth. Develop scalable sales enablement programs and materials.
  • Performance Measurement: Define and monitor key marketing KPIs. Report on performance using data-driven insights to guide resource allocation.
  • Brand & Content Leadership: Shape digiLab's value proposition to resonate with technical decision-makers. Oversee creation of high-value content such as thought leadership, case studies, and technical blogs.

What Skills We Are Looking For:

  • Extensive experience in B2B marketing leadership within deep tech start-ups (AI, ML, engineering, or software).
  • Proven track record of building and scaling high-performing marketing teams.
  • Hands-on expertise in digital marketing: SEO, PPC, website management, automation, analytics.
  • Strong planning, analytical, and budget management skills.
  • Deep understanding of technical buyer personas and B2B sales cycles.
  • Success in demand generation and pipeline acceleration.
  • Excellent leadership and cross-functional communication skills.
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience launching marketing functions in high-growth deep tech environments.
  • Familiarity with advanced marketing automation and analytics platforms.
  • Technical understanding of AI/machine learning/software engineering concepts.

Location:

This role is based on-site at digiLab's offices on the Quay, Exeter.
