This exciting opportunity is for a strategic and professional lead in Older People Psychology within Acute Inpatient Services and Community settings in East Cheshire. The role is a new 8c Consultant Clinical Psychologist Locality Lead position, demonstrating CWP’s commitment to improving psychological care for older adults. It offers development at 8b/c level with tailored support plans.

Main Duties

As the Consultant Clinical Psychologist Lead, you will:

  • Provide clinical, professional, and strategic leadership to develop high-quality psychology services for older people in acute and community settings.
  • Work with senior teams and clinical networks to enhance psychological care across inpatient wards, respite, and urgent care services.
  • Offer training, supervision, and consultancy to multidisciplinary teams.
  • Engage in service evaluation, audit, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Deliver highly specialist psychological assessments and interventions, contributing to care and discharge planning as part of the multidisciplinary team.
