We are seeking a dedicated Social Worker/AMHP to join our Emergency Duty Team (EDT) on a permanent basis. The team provides out-of-hours support to children, young people, vulnerable adults, and their families, ensuring timely and effective responses to crises.

About The Role

As part of our skilled EDT, you will work out of hours, providing a robust response to emergency referrals. The service collaborates closely with partner agencies to safeguard individuals in crisis.

Key Responsibilities

• Be a qualified AMHP or willing to train as one.
• Respond to emergency referrals out of hours.
• Work a rotational shift pattern, including some weekends and bank holidays.
• Provide support and interventions to address safeguarding concerns.
• Offer advice and guidance to professionals and produce accurate reports.
• Conduct thorough crisis assessments for children and families.
• Apply legal and professional knowledge to achieve positive outcomes.

Candidate Profile

We seek social workers capable of autonomous working, managing demands under pressure, and making confident decisions. You should have strong risk assessment skills and be able to provide guidance across agencies.

Hours of Work

• 36 hours per week on a shift rotation, including nights, days, weekends, and some holidays.
